A primary goal of this company is to control or eliminate both known and potential safety and health hazards faced by our employees on the job. DKI places a great deal of emphasis on the safety of our employees, sub-contractors, customers, and the general public. In short, safety is a key component of our success as a company. In order to accomplish this, we have established a "culture of safety" that starts at the top. All DKI employees participate in an annual safety program. We have extensive training programs to comply with Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) and Mine Safety and Health Act (MSHA) regulations. We continually look for safety improvement in all our work processes to provide the safest working environment possible for DKI employees. We invest a minimum of 40 hours annual training in each worker to insure they are equipped with the best information and tools to protect themselves. Our in-house Safety Committee meets weekly and continually looks for ways to improve our methods and processes. And although we are extremely proud of our safety record, we are never satisfied.
